The Guild is an American comedy web series created and written by Felicia Day, that also stars as Cyd Sherman. It was released on July 27, 2007 YouTube. Seasons two webisodes premiered on Zune Market Place, Microsoft's Xbox Live Market Place, also MSN Video. The webisodes were made available on YouTube the state Guild website, along with iTunes. As stated by Day,'' the business model of Microsoft shifted after season five. Day wished to maintain ownership, or so the incident premieres transferred to Day's YouTube station Geek & Sundry. The webisodes are available via DVD and streaming Hulu along with Netflix. The show revolves around the lives of some gamers' guild, Good's Knights, who play with hours of a dream MMORPG video game entitled The Game. The story centers around Codex, the guild's Priestess, that tries to lead a normal life after one of her guild mates, Warlock Zaboo, shows up on her doorstep. Joss Whedon credits The Guild among the inspirations for Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Website, which also starred Felicia Day. The season premiered on October 2, 2012 on Sundry & Geek. At a telephone interview following the ending of the sixth season, Felicia Day confirmed that The Guild web-series is complete.
