The Sport is an American television show. Premiering on October 1, 2006, the series debuted since the new comedy series chosen for the primetime schedule of The CW. Along with run-away, it was clearly one of two series on the network not to be inherited in both its predecessor networks, The WB and UPN, throughout the system's first season. The series is a spinoff of those sit-com. After three seasons, The CW at May 2009 canceled the series. BET struck a bargain with the parent company of The Game CBS to develop episodes of this series, announcing its renewal at the April 2010 upfronts, and relocating taping of this series in Los Angeles to Atlanta. The overall game returned to the air to get a fourth season on January 1 1, 2011, with a record breaking 7.7 million audiences. The series premiered on January 10, 2012, and was renewed for a fifth season. Tia Mowry-Hardrict announced that she will not return to the collection. Back in June 2012it was confirmed that celebrity Jay Ellis and actress Lauren London had joined the cast. Back in April 2013it was announced that The Sport has been renewed.
