Lightning strikes CSI Investigator Barry Allen after a freak storm is caused by having a particle accelerator and falls into a coma. He awakens with the strength of superspeed, granting him the means to move through Central city-like an guardian angel. Though initially excited with his own new found powers, Barry is astonished to find he isn't the only"meta-human" that had been born in the wake of the accelerator burst -- and perhaps maybe not every one is with their new powers permanently. Barry partners using S.T.A.R. Labs and dedicates his life to protect the innocent. For the time being, just a few close friends and partners know that Barry is the fastest man alive, but it's not going to be long until the entire planet accomplishes exactly what Barry Allen is now. . .The Flash.
