Suspense is an American television anthology show that ran on CBS Television from 1949. It had been adapted from the radio program of the identical name which ran from 1942 to 1962. Like most television programs, the series was aired live from new york. It had been sponsored by the corporation, and sponsor Rex Marshall, that encouraged Auto-Lite spark plugs, car batteries, car batteries, auto batteries, headlights, along with vehicle parts introduced each incident.
While the some were original for television, some of the scripts were adapted by Suspense radio broadcasts. By writers that are renowned broadcasts were adaptations of classics Much like the radio program. Vintage writers such as Agatha Christie, Edgar Allan Poe, and Charles Dickens had stories adapted for its series, whereas contemporary authors such as Roald Dahl and Gore Vidal also donated. Many celebrities seemed on the program, for example Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi, Franchot Tone, Robert Emhardt, Leslie Nielsen, Lloyd Bridges, and many more.
The program proved to be a television series, however, episodes were listed about kinescope. However, just about 90 of those 260 episodes reside.
