Shindig! Is an American musical variety series that aired on ABC in September 16, 1964. Jimmy O'Neill, a disc jockey in Los Angeles hosted the series during that time that created the series along with production executive Art Stolnitz and his wife Sharon Sheeley. David Sontag Executive Producer of ABC, redeveloped and the pilot has been rejected by ABC and re designed the series. A new pilot with a new cast of artists had been shot starring Sam Cooke. That pilot aired as the premiere episode.
