Aracy de Carvalho is a young staff at the Brazilian Consulate. For two years, she has been covertly issuing passports to Jews without the dreaded "J" stamp, which not only won't allow them to take a trip, yet will ruin them to the scaries of concentration camps. When newly appointed mediator, João Guimarães Rosa, shows up in Hamburg, both autumn incredibly crazy. Aracy would certainly later be recognized by the Yad Vashem with the Righteous Amongst the Nations Award. João would certainly be called the best Brazilian author of the twentieth century.
