L.A. Law

L.A. Law can be a American television legal drama show that ran for eight seasons on NBC from September 1-5, 1986, to May 19, 1994. It included a lot of the trademark features of Bochco including a large numbers of societal play, storylines and offthewall humor. It reflected the societal and cultural ideologies of the 1980s and early 1990s, and a number of the cases featured on the series dealt with issues like homosexual rights, racism, abortion, homophobia, sexual harassment, AIDS, and domestic violence. The show regularly reflected societal anxieties between their junior staff and the wealthy senior lawyer protagonists. The series was popular with critics and audiences, and won 15 Emmy Awards.
