It celebrities Jenna Elfman and Thomas Gibson as Dharma and Greg Montgomery, a couple that got married on their original date despite being opposites. Created by executive manufacturers Dottie Dartland and Chuck Lorre, the humor took a lot of its inspiration from so called culture-clash"fish out of water" situations. The show earned also six Satellite awards nominations, six Emmy Award nominations, along with eight Golden Globe nominations. Elfman earned a Golden Globe for Best Actress in 1999.
