Designing Women is an American television sitcom that centered on the private and working lives of one individual and four European women in an interior design firm in Atlanta, Georgia. It aired from September 29, 1986 before May 2-4, 1993. The show was created by head writer Linda Bloodworth-Thomason, who composed many of the episodes in the very first seasons of the show. At the time of 2011, the series now airs in syndication on TVGN channels and the Comedy Gold.
