Biography is actually a tv series. It was originally a half-hour filmed string produced for CBS and hosted by Mike Wallace. The A&E Network it has produced fresh episodes. The variant featured entertainment figures such as Will Rogers or John Barrymore, or figures such as Helen Keller and Mark Twain. The A&E series has placed the emphasis on these people as Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Plácido Domingo, Freddie Mercury, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Eric Clapton, Pope John Paul II, Gene Tierney, Selena, Diego Rivera, Mao Zedong and Queen Elizabeth II, along with literary characters like The Phantom, Super Man, Hamlet, Betty Boop, along with Santa Claus. The app finished up profiling enough figures which A&E spun off it to an entire network, The Biography Channel.
Initially, most of the episodes featured the life stories of historical figures or societal or political leaders that were present. People such as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Charles Dickens, William Shakespeare, Enrico Caruso, and Eva Peron were profiled. After a number of years, however, the show began producing episodes including Johnny Depp, Al Pacino, Britney Spears and Marilyn Manson. This move has been criticized by a few.
