Another World

Another World is an American television soap opera that ran for 35 years from May 4, 1964. Set in the fictional town of Bay City, the series in its first years opens using announcer Bill Wolff intoning its own epigram,"we don't reside in this world independently, but in a million different worlds," that Phillips said signified that the difference between"the entire universe of events we all are living in, and the environment of visions and feelings we strive for." Another World focused less on melodrama between groups of philosophies and distinct types, and more on the conventional drama of domestic life as seen in soap operas.
