A narrative about a person who, against all odds and various challenges, struggles for love and acceptance and for her place on earth. The show centers on a young girl in the late 1890's, who, after an abusive childhood spent in the homes of strangers and orphanages, is wrongly sent to live with her brother that is aging and an older woman. Over time, 13-year-old Anne will alter their own lives and the little town in which they live with her spirit intellect and brilliant imagination.
