Alfred Hitchcock Presents is a American television anthology series. The show featured thrillers dramas, and mysteries. By the time the series was released on October 2, 1955, Hitchcock was directing films for three decades. Time magazine called Alfred Hitchcock Presents one of"The 100 Best Television Shows of Alltime". A string of literary anthologies with the running title Alfred Hitchcock Gifts were issued to capitalize on the achievements of their tv show. 1 volume, devoted to stories which censors wouldn't allow to get accommodated for the television show, was entitled Alfred Hitchcock Presents: Stories They Wouldn't Let Me Do on TV--though a number of the stories accumulated were accommodated.
