In the late spring of1890, Vincent relocates to the town of Auvers-sur-Oise, located close to Paris. There, he is taken care of by Dr. Gachet and resides in a simple inn. A little less than seventy days later, Vincent shoots himself in the head and kills himself. We get a glimpse of Vincent working on his paintings, which include both landscapes and portraits. Auvers is visited by his brother Theo, who brings his wife Johanna and their new baby. Because Vincent is so witty and attractive, he attracts the attention of a young maid working at the inn, a Parisian prostitute named Cathy, and Johanna. Gachet's daughter Marguerite, who is only half Vincent's age, is also drawn to him. A little time before he passes away, Vincent travels to Paris, where he gets into an argument with Theo, belittles his own artistic abilities and achievements, dances at a brothel, and has conflicting feelings regarding Marguerite.
