A long time ago... from the far off kingdom of D-OR... lived a brave and virtuous mouse with comically oversize ears who dreamt of becoming a knight. Banished from his home for having this lofty ambitions, Despereaux sets off to an amazing adventure with his goodhearted rat friend Roscuro, who directs him, at long last, on an incredibly noble quest to rescue an endangered princess and also rescue an entire empire out of darkness.
