Joe Pesci stars like Louie Kritski, a landlord who has been to keep his ghetto apartment up blessed he is threatened with prison time. The judge gives another option, he takes to him -- he must live in his hell gap until he brings it up to standards that are overburdened. The judge gives him 120 days, during which time Louie meets a lot of his tenants, including drug dealer Marlon (Ruben Blades). As time passes, Louie develops more sympathetic with their problems and sees the consequences of their greediness. Regrettably, Louie's dad, Large Lou Kritski (Vincent Gardenia), will be the actual owner of the property, also he disturbs his son's entreaties to spend money to clean up the place.
