The Son
Dima Ilukhin, the cousin of the film's director and a soldier at the army, died on duty in the Republic of Dagestan. He was 21 years of age. This episode marks the startingpoint for Abaturov's manifestation on this military. He also films the practice of new recruits at Siberia, since they bid farewell to girlfriends and their mothers, learn the mechanisms of an Kalashnikov, or just how to throw a handgrenade and manage medical. While his parents attempt to cope with their loss, the former fellow recruits of Dima need to come back to struggle.
