Rural Ireland, 19 20. Anglo irish twins Rachel and Edward share an odd presence within their own family estate that is crumbling. Each evening, the land becomes the domain name of a menacing presence (The Lodgers) which enforces three rules upon the twins: they must be in bed by midnight. An outsider may not be permitted by them . The lifetime of the other is positioned in jeopardy, Of course, if a person tries to escape. He's immediately interested in the Rachel, who in turn begins to violate the rules when war veteran Sean yields to the nearby village. The results pull Rachel into a deadly confrontation with her brother - and with the curse that haunts them.
