Bill Miner, a highwayman from the old West who was known to Pinkertons as "The Gentleman Bandit," was released from prison in 1901 after 33 years behind bars. He was a pleasant and friendly old man. Entering a world that is new to him, he goes back to the only thing that gives him meaning: robbery, which is what he does.
