One fateful night at a tiny British theatre throughout World War II that a troupe of touring celebrities stage a generation of Shakespeares King Lear. Bombs are decreasing, sirens are wailing, the curtain is up within a single hour or so but the actor/manager Sir whois playing Lear is nowhere to be viewed. His dresser Norman must scramble to preserve the production alive however will Sir arrive in time of course, if he does will he be ready to perform that evening? The Dresser is a deeply moving and wickedly funny story of friendship and devotion as Sir reflects his lifelong accomplishments and seeks to reconcile his friendships prior to the closing curtain with those in his employ.
