Chung, the delivery boy, rings a bell for a local martial arts school. He demonstrates that he, too, is a kung fu student by punching a bag and kicking out the instructor for money. Chung's life is difficult. His father constantly nags him to put in more effort at work. Chien-Pe, a disabled thug who runs a gang, confronts him one day and heckles him. Chung gets into fights with them and beats them up, and as a result, he loses his job. Chien asks his boss, Tai Chung, to find Chung for him.
