Back in Montreal, the jobless clothier Sophie Malaterre is shown a site, switch.com, where it is possible to switch houses having a stranger for vacation. Sophie seeks a apartment in Paris near the Eiffel Tower which belongs to Bénédicte Serteaux and so they change apartments. Morning sophie arrives in Paris on Saturday. While she's using a bath the morning after, policemen break in the arrest and flat Sophie. Detective Damien Forgeat interrogates Sophie presuming she is Bénédicte and she or he learns the beheaded body was found in her room and all evidence of her life has been deleted.
