Set in Dundee c. 1979, Schemers is based on writer-producer David McLean's early years in the music industry. A fledgling promoterthat he booked rings by the Dundee schemes along together with his friends John and Scot, these. Young Davie (Conor Berry) is decided never to get a'real' job. He starts out running discos and, after a run in with a gangster, increases his aspirations for reserving important bands like Iron Maiden. Shot in and around Dundee using local talent, Schemers celebrates young ambition.
