It's Hollywood, 1958. Smalltown beauty queen and Baptist virgin Marla Mabrey, under contract to the infamous Howard Hughes, arrives at la. At the airport, she matches her motorist Frank Forbes, who's engaged to become married into his tier sweetheart and is a religious Methodist. Their instant fascination puts their religious obligations but defies Hughes' number 1 principle. Hughes' behavior intersects with Frank and Marla in unexpected and very separate ways, and their values have been contested and their lives have been changed because they're drawn into his world.
