Following a shootout, rookie Sergeant Lee is hurt and sent to the suspicious-sounding Miscellaneous Affairs Department (MAD). He is placed with Inspector Wong there, a cynical and inebriated veteran who explains that MAD's job is to respond to otherworldly calls.
