Prick Up Your Ears
This biographical drama concentrating on controversial playwright Joe Orton is directed by stephen Frears, shown in flashback after his murder Kenneth Halliwell. Born in 1933 at Leicester, at the English Midlands,'' John'Joe' Orton moves in 1951 into London, to examine at RADA, also loves an openly gay connection with Halliwell inside their Islington flat in the 1960s. But when success is achieved by Orton as'What the Butler Saw' and'Loot', Halliwell begins to feel invigorated as well as the future of the pair looks increasingly unclear.
