Pit Stop
Rick Bowman, a drag racing street punk, comes to the attention of Famous business man Grant Willard. Willard offers him sponsorship as a stock car driver and bails him out of jail. Bowman accepts and enters the demolition derby-adjacent environment of"figure eight" racing. The king of the figure eight track will be cocky hotshot Hawk Sidney. Bowman and Sidney clash. Hawk's pretty friend Jolene falls prey to the charm of Bowman. Bowman's gaze changes winner racer Ed McLeod's wife, onto Ellen McLeod. Since Bowman moves upward in the rankings, his respect for his friends slips- giving means to obsession with becoming the best.
