Whenever Marie locks her bedroom door and sleeps, she dreams about Marty, a literary agent in New York who dreams about Marie just as much. The women look the same. Marie meets William, and he starts to ask her out. It starts out as friendship and then love for Aaron, who is an accountant. It's the same for both women. They tell their lovers about their ideal lives. William is jealous, Aaron is happy. When they become lovers, Marie will not fall asleep next to William. With William, Marie goes on a vacation to Paris. Marty wakes up with an ashtray from the hotel on her night stand. Is it the same person? What will open the door to the world?
