Spain, 1953. Kilian is just a young man from the mountains of Huesca who journeys to the island of Fernando Poo, a state of the Spanish Guinea in Africa along with his brother, to function in the cocoa plantation of his father. There, he embarks on a journey of twenty five years past adulthood and knowledge, but he will additionally need to deal with loss and pain.
