French drama in line with the 1996 kidnapping and killing of seven monks from Algeria. Where they live with all the largely muslim population Friends of Trappist monks live in Algeria from the monastery of Tibhirine. When a bloody conflict between Algeria's army and Muslim Jihadi insurgents disrupts the peace, they're made to look at tripping the monastery along with deserting that the villagers they have ministered to. At the face of mortal violence that the mothers and their faith and their own convictions wrestle , eventually deciding to stay and help their acquaintances maintain the army and the insurgents.
