After an adolescence spent in and out of foster care, Leon comes home at the age of nineteen to care for his alcoholic mother and acclimate to adult life. Leon seeks refuge in the boxing ring after being frustrated by his lack of education and gloomy financial prospects. He quickly meets Twiggy, a rebellious and gorgeous young woman who is living in abandoned buildings to get away from her wealthy family. As riots erupt in the streets as police and demonstrators round his neighborhood, Leon must choose between fighting alongside his friends and seeking a new life with Twiggy.
