Marc is a professor of literature at the University of Lausanne. Still coping with his sister Marianne at a huge -- and a mentor, isolated chalet they inherited if they were young -- he carries on a single romance affair after another with his students. Winter has almost stopped when one of his most brilliant students, Barbara, unexpectedly disappears.
