The Final of Rohmer's Six Moral Tales. Frederic leads a bourgeois existence. He's someone in a Paris office and is married to Helene, a teacher. In the afternoons, Frederic day dreams about ladies, but has no intention of taking any action. Chloe, who had been a mistress of an old friend, begins dropping by his office one afternoon. They meet friends, irregularly in the afternoons, till eventually Chloe decides to seduce Frederic, causing him a dilemma.
