Heaven Can Wait

Joe Pendleton is a quarterback preparing to lead his team when he is killed in a collision. An over-anxious angel plucks him to heaven just to detect that his body has been cremated, and that he was not prepared to perish. A new body must be found, and also that of a murdered millionaire is preferred. His wife and accountant, the murderers, are confounded by this development, as he buys the L.A. Rams in sequence to once again quarter back them into the super bowl.
