A disaster in the 19th Century has stranded woman and a man in the wilds of Africa. The girl gives birth to a kid in their own tree house, and is pregnant. Right afterwards, a category of apes stumble and both parents are killed. A female ape takes the boy for a replacement for the own infant that is dead, and raises him. Twenty decades after, the guy who thinks he could be an ape is discovered by Captain Phillippe D'Arnot. Evidence inside the tree house takes it upon himself to come back the guy, and leads him to think he is the direct descendant of the Earl of Greystoke.
