Mark and Olivia, a young American couple, are expecting. Before that, they hope to travel to Europe. They rent private rooms online and leave for a 4-week journey. Elisabeth meets them at the airport. She is the daughter of the owner of Mark and Olivia's first home, a tiny house on a gorgeous lake in Olivia's great-grandparents' hometown. They learn that the 82-year-old landlady is dying. Elizabeth takes Mark and Olivia home. Then they spent their first night in Germany. A night where Mark gets to know the owner better. The next morning, the lakeside house is eerily quiet. No one will know what happened just hours ago.
