Coyote Lake is a reservoir in the Rio Grande along with a drug smuggling route which is now synonymous with cartel violence and disappearances. It's there, to the lake, so which Teresa and her daughter, Ester, conducted a boardinghouse where they frequently medication, rob and moan the unsuspecting drug-runners and traffickers who stay at through the night. Teresa justifies the killings claiming they have been ridding the world of people and saving the money start afresh and to leave Coyote Lake. Nevertheless, once they're taken hostage themselves from 2 intruding cartel gangsters, their pattern is interrupted.
