Athletic 12-year-old Maddy (Kristen Stewart) shares an enthusiasm for climbing with her dad, Tom (Sam Robards). Regrettably, Tom endures a spinal accident when scaling Mount Everest, along with also his family is unable to afford the operation that could save him. By robbing a bank that is high-security, maddy decides to get the money for her daddy's operation.
