Born in Evin
Maryam Zaree was born in one of the most notorious political prisons of Iran. She embarks on a personal search for hints: in an effort she and her parents talk concerning the abusive circumstances surrounding her arrival. And she asks other kids born in Evin in the traumatic consequences and also their experiences. Maryam Zaree's cinematic approach unfolds through her biography, but beyond this it alerts us to the horrors of dehumanisation and persecution and the rest of the planet.
