Birds Are Singing in Kigali

We meet ornithologist Anna in 1994 just as genocide is raging in Rwanda, perpetrated by the vast majority Hutus against the Tutsis. Anna manages to conserve the girl of a colleague whose family was murdered, and now she chooses her to Poland. But the girl contributes to Rwanda to stop by her loved ones' graves. The director originally worked on the movie with her husband Krzysztof Krauze (My Nikifor -- Crystal Globe, KVIFF 2005), however after his death from 2014 she finally finished this challenging film .
