Beyond the Blackboard

Beyond the Blackboard is based on a true tale about a 24-year-old first-time teacher who makes a difference in the lives of homeless youngsters. Set in 1987 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, this film follows the story of a new teacher and mother who ends up teaching homeless children in a school called The School with No Name. She must overcome personal prejudices and obstacles such as a shortage of books and resources before she can truly teach these children.
