Beauty and the Beast

The Beast and beauty is That the adaptation of a story by Madame de Villeneuve. Like La Jeune Américaine et les contes marins published anonymously in 1740, it paints a portrait of a joyous , Belle and young girl who falls deeply in love with the Beast, a cursed creature looking for redemption and love. In 1760, a children's variation was published. It was from this variant that Jean Cocteau and then Walt Disney drew their adaptations. Overshadowed, the original variation by Madame de Villeneuve never been adapted for the screen... until now!
