Kevin, played by Stephen Oates, is an Irish Moss farmer who is steadfast in his adherence to the customary means by which things have always been done, despite the fact that doing so prevents him and his pregnant wife from leading a life that is more financially rewarding (Liane Balaban). When he discovers a bag of money that has been washed ashore on the shores of Prince Edward Island, he makes the decision to keep it a secret. However, when the owners of the money come looking for it, his once peaceful fishing community transforms into a developing crime scene.
