The cable television network Nickelodeon broadcast the show from 1992 to 1995. The show comprises young athletes competing in a variety of athletic events at the"Extreme Arena", a set built on Sound Stage 21 at Universal Studios Florida. Guts reruns were shown from January 15, 1996 before proceeding until the network's closure on December 3 1, 2007. It has been observed since January 1, 2008 in reruns around TeenNick.
In 2008, Nickelodeon produced two phases of a revival my children's Got Guts, of the program.
