A couple of, Karl and David Scott, are on a trip with their dad on his plane when the controllers are taken within by Karl, so that his dad can get to sleep. Karl struggles, causing Frank to retake control before it crashes into the sea after flying into a storm. His sons are saved by frank, however, has trouble escaping the plane as his seatbelt fails to discharge. Karl and David washup on a uncharted island's shore. On the lookout for help, Karl and David meet with a person named Cyrus Crabb who directs them to Waterfall City, the funding of Dinotopia, a civilization by which human beings and dinosaurs coexist. In fact, some of the dinosaurs, especially a friendly Troodon named, although neurotic Zippo, possess intellect and speak perfect English. One of the numerous rules in Dinotopia is that the edict that, once a person arrives, he or she's not ever permitted to leave. As Karl and David prepare to take their own places within their new surroundings, both boys develop into a strong bond with all young Marion, who is on the brink of becoming a"matriarch" of their Dinotopian society. Legend has it that their ancestors lived in an underworld that has been lit by sunstones. Cyrus was inventing books and artifacts to attempt to find a way from the island. All the stuff are discovered by zippo, but Cyrus knocks out him and thows him at a water canal. Meanwhile, himself finds a Dino egg and shipped on a mission Karl. The sun-stones keep breaking that leads to the dinos to strike. David needs to learn to conquer his fears. Unfortunately, vicious carnivores' incursion, not to mention an human villain, threaten to destroy every one and Dinotopia living there.
