Dead of Night was a television anthology series of fiction, created by the BBC and broadcast in 1972 on BBC2. It conducted for a series. Of its own seven 50-minute episodes, just three--"The Exorcism","Return Flight", and"A Woman Sobbing"--are well known to survive from the BBC's archives. Another programme produced by the Dead of Night production team under Innes Lloyd, The Stone Tape, intended to be the eighth episode, does survive from the archives but was not broadcast under the Dead of Night banner.
