Live action black comedy set in a post-apocalyptic 1950s. The Fitzroy Hotel, an abandoned submarine off the coast of England, is the final site for a conventional seaside holiday. Bernard, the hotel's bellboy, cook, maintenance man, and overall slob, fights to keep the crumbling hotel sealed and afloat. A homicidal guest tempts him into a day of lies, backstabbing, and destruction. And as Bernard tries to hide her killings from the other guests and the authorities, his life practically crumbles.
