Two minstrels named Gilles and Dominique appear from nowhere at the end of the 15th century and enter the castle of Baron Hugues, who lives there. Neither Gilles nor Dominique are able to make Anne, Hughes' daughter, fall in love. Gilles and Dominique aren't really in love. The Devil sends them to people who are in need of help. That's because Ann is so pure that Gilles falls into his own trap. They don't know how to fight the Devil.
