Machuca
Santiago, capital of Chile through the Marxist government of president Salvador Allende. Father McEnroe supports his leftist perspectives by introducing a program at the prestigious"collegio" (Catholic prep school) St. Patrick allowing free entry of some proletarian kiddies. One of them is Pedro Machuca son of the cleaning lady in the liberal-bourgeois home of Gonzalo Infante. Yet the newest classmates eventually become friends, as Gonzalo gets ironically protesting embraced by the slum gang and family of Pedro. But the adults stink that too, maybe not at very least when overall Pinochet's coup ousts Allende, also supporters such as McEnroe.
