After a terrible virus ravages human culture, Ann finds himself foraging for supplies, living alone in a forest, and accompanied only with way of a radio which broadcasts one transmission in French. Few critters remain. The only survivors seem to be the roving hordes of infected animals with a taste for human flesh. One day, Ann crosses paths. But after residing on her for so long, she struggles to relate with them and their desire to begin a new community and settle down.
